Michael McGoldrick hails from Manchester in the North West of England plays Irish flute, uilleann pipes, Low Whistle and bodhrán, a well as acoustic guitar, cittern, and mandolin.
McGoldrick is one of the most in demand players on the music scene, and at the last count has worked on over (by the Author's estimation) 176 recordings with his bands Toss the Feathers, Arcady, Flook!, Capercaillie, Lúnasa Kate Rusby, Eden Bridge, Future Collective, Usher's Island, the McGoldrick Family and over 136 recordings as a guest artist.
